The Book You Need to Read...

This past weekend, I found myself wanting to get lost in a good book.

Phone down, no Snapchatting, no Instagram-ming (is that a word?), no email-checking.
I just wanted to step out, drink a latte, and get back to my reading list that I hadn't picked up since senior year of college started. Even though I've been having more time on my hands lately, it doesn't mean I haven't been busy. In fact, I've been spending more time thinking.
So here I was in Barnes & Nobles, scanning the aisles for something new to read.

The Woman in Cabin 10. Grabbed that from the shelf.
Luckiest Girl Alive. Hmm, sounds interesting.
And then... I stumbled across Lily Collin's book 'Unfiltered.' And the rest was history.

Long story short, the book was a beautiful piece. It's written so polished, so bold, and really made me feel in ways that I hadn't felt in a long time. Her very words on the pages felt like I was reading my own thoughts and it was no surprise that I ended up finishing the entire book in one sitting. In other words, if you haven't read Unfiltered yet, you need to.

Or if you have read the book and want to share with me your thoughts on it, I'd love to hear what you have to say. Thanks for stopping by :)

"I still face opposition constantly, but it only makes me fight harder. It gives me perspective and reminds me that I can't control anything except for the way I handle myself in each situation and how I move forward and accept the cards I've been dealt. So, thank you to all those people who have dealt me a crappy hand and told me no-- it's made hearing yes that much better."
