Ever since this BlendJet entered my life one month ago… it’s been a real game-changer.

I’m a girl of routine — I have my devotional to start the day with, hot lemon water with a drop of honey on an empty stomach, and then my clients’ Instagram accounts to look through in the mornings. Afterwards, I’ll go for a run or do a workout in my apartment. But one of the things I look forward to post-workout is my homemade smoothie. Before my BlendJet days, I would normally buy a protein smoothie from Juice Generation on my way home (aka $12 a smoothie), or blend one up in my Ninja. But now, I no longer crave the Juice Generation protein smoothies and just make my own because of how simple and easy it is to make with the BlendJet.

I’ve talked about the BlendJet for quite a bit on my Instagram Stories, but it’s truly been a lifesaver since my mom gave it to me for Christmas. This post is by no means sponsored — I just wanted to share my favorite post-workout protein smoothie recipe with you all.

This is my favorite protein smoothie recipe:

  • Orgain Organic Protein Powder — this is my favorite one… and it’s plant-based! I’m not a fan of chalky protein powder and I stay away from whey protein because I’m lactose intolerant and cannot have any dairy. I have the vanilla bean flavor but I’ve tried the chocolate one and it’s really good too!

  • Dates — (THE KEY INGREDIENT) you can get these anywhere. I found these at a grocery store in North Carolina and use 1 date per smoothie.

  • Oatly Oat Milk — the oat milk makes it creamy.

  • Bananas or Frozen Bananas — usually I’ll put in frozen bananas so I don’t have to add ice in afterwards, but if you do fresh bananas, I recommend putting in ice.
