7 Types of Outfits I Pack For Summer Travels
Now that things are opening back up for the summer, I’ve been itching to travel more. I’m grateful to have been able to spend more time in New York City and I have a deeper level of appreciation for every new destination I’ve had the pleasure of visiting — local or not. I recently traveled to Cancun, Mexico a few weeks ago and thought it’d be a great idea to share what I typically pack when I’m traveling somewhere for the summer.
GOING OUT OUTFIT
Whenever I’m packing, I like to have a good idea of what my itinerary will look like. That helps with planning out outfits for the trip. Depending on the destination, I’ll pack at least one ‘going out outfit.’ This obviously varies place to place, but for somewhere like Mexico, I wanted to for a light summery style. I typically gravitate towards an all-black outfit, but every once in awhile, I’ll wear some color.
For me, the key to any ‘going out outfit’ is comfort and style. I don’t want to wear something that is too tight, too short, or too revealing because then that takes away how I’m feeling about the people I’m spending time with or the environment I’m around. Clothes can actually distract you from enjoying the moment, so I make sure to take that into account when you’re choosing what you’re wearing.
Highly recommend trying on the outfit at home — I like to walk around in it, sit in it, and eat in it to get a feel for the outfit so there aren’t any surprises when wearing it.
