Mad for Plaid

Happy Friday!


I thought I'd take a break from holiday gift guides and share one of my favorite looks from Thanksgiving Break. Even though this style felt more New York City, and less Fayetteville, North Carolina, I wanted to share this plaid blazer that's too good to pass up. I love belting blazers in general, so I love that this one came with the blazer. It's a great way to still wear something flattering to your figure in an outerwear piece. 

One of the things I remember vividly about where I grew up -- Fayetteville, NC -- is the fact that I used to shoot in my neighborhood after high school days or on weekends where I'd come back to visit my family. That neighborhood was where I spent long afternoons or early mornings blowing off steam, de-stressing, and days where I just wanted to escape whatever problems I was going through.  It felt nice to visit the places where I used to spend so much time growing up and just reminiscing on all the memories.
