Frill Seeker

I headed down to Washington D.C. for Memorial Day Weekend.

Little did I know how humid it was going to be all weekend. Nonetheless, we made the most of it and crossed off lots of things on our D.C. itinerary. Even though I've visited or passed through D.C. several times, I haven't really had the chance to explore downtown. I took note on the recommendations that you all passed along via Instagram DM, (thank you!), and this place was one of them.

Our Uber driver was actually confused when he saw the location of the Blind Whino Arts Club because it wasn't in the best area around town. I just remember him asking: "Are you sure?" And I just sat there wondering if it was worth it to even make the trip. However, when we pulled up, I was definitely intrigued to see a Romanesque architectural church with splatters of paint in all directions.

The Blind Whino Arts Club has a small art gallery inside with graffiti walls, certain exhibitions for the month, a room with a pink-painted LYFT piano, and more. Overall, lots of interesting things.

How was your Memorial Day Weekend?
