3 Items For Recreating A New Space with Pottery Barn Teen

Now that I'm an official graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill,
here's what's next.

Before I head off on my summer traveling, I'll be packing up and moving out of my Chapel Hill home. After living in this house for two years, it's hard to imagine the fact that I will no longer be waking up in my bedroom with a view of my gallery wall, or my clothes rack to my right, or to my tassel garlands hanging on the wall above me. I have to admit.
I don't want to leave this space, but at the same time, I'm all for a fresh start in a new one.

With that being said, I'm partnering with Pottery Barn Teen today to share 3 items that I find essential for recreating a new space. Scroll down for more.

What are some items that you think are essential for recreating a new space?
I'd love to hear them in the comments below!

1. A statement piece. A pineapple lamp, for example.
Not only is this pineapple lamp fitting for the summer, but it's also an eye-catching piece that has sparked a conversation in my home many times. No matter where I end up living next, I know that a statement piece helps recreate bits and pieces of my old bedroom.

2. Stick to a theme.
As I mentioned previously, I'll be traveling a lot this summer.
I love how this Emily & Meritt duffel bag matches the black, white, and gold theme of my bedroom. Because I'll be constantly moving around, the idea of having to store my bag only to bring it out again, feels like a hassle. This duffel bag is a great addition to just leave out and show off in your new space.

P.S. this is my favorite travel bag, hands down. It's so spacious and I've received tons of compliments on it at the airport.

3. A rug.

I am a hardwood floor over carpet kind-of-girl. However, I hate how cold the floor tends to get sometimes, and feel like a rug is perfect for these types of situations. I love how you can easily move rugs like this one, in spaces that it'll fit the best.
P.S. wait until you feel how plush this rug is...
