5 Ways To Enjoy Valentine's Day Single

SooOOoOooOoo... there's a special day coming up in a few days...

Yep. You guessed it.
Single's Awareness Day. AKA February 14th. AKA Valentine's Day.

The holiday where everyone is either lovey-dovey with their significant other, or the holiday where all the single ladies (and men!) are rolling their eyes at the Valentine's Day signs displayed on all restaurants, grocery stores, malls... you name it. And then, you see aisles of champagne, chocolates, and wine running low in stock, and you get to thinking: Ugh. The day of L-O-V-E. Did I buy enough chocolates and wine (who am I kidding? Wine bottleS) for myself to get over this day?

Well, guess what.
I'm not moping. And this time every year, I don't.

I specifically pick this holiday to celebrate with my girlfriends. This year, I wanted to share 5 ways to enjoy Valentine's Day as an INDEPENDENT, single woman.
(Does anyone else spell it out with the song? I-N-D-E... just me? Okay.)

Scroll down for more...

1. Dress up in fancy dresses and do a fun shoot with your girlfriends.

I did this last year. Remember this post here?
Every year I try to incorporate a Galentine's Day post with my girls, and last year's was one of my favorites.

2. Buy yourself a new dress... or lingerie.

There's nothing sexier than lounging around in a new pair of lingerie. And more importantly, the one you want because you picked it out.
This year, I bought myself this new dress. I didn't particularly need the dress, but couldn't take my eyes off of it when I spotted it in the store. I love the fit, the intricate detailed tutu hem, and the cut-out back.

3. Movie date(s), anyone?

Grab your fellow gal pals and go on a movie date.
I hear La La Land is a good one... and Fifty Shades Darker hits theaters February 10...

;)

4. Girls Wine Night.

Valentine's Day may fall on a Tuesday, but one glass (or two) of wine can't hurt... right?
Buy a bottle or two (or three) of your favorite wine and enjoy a few laughs with your girlfriends.
The best part about that is you don't have to get all dressed up. Sweatpants and t-shirts will suffice.

5. Grab your dancing shoes and jam out to 'Single Ladies' by Beyonce.

Normally, I would've opted for SPA DAY, but Valentine's Day just so happens to fall on a Tuesday this year. Sooo, make the night worth it and crank up some girl power tunes with your girls. Or by yourself. Either way, no judgment.

Have any Valentine's Day plans?
I'd love to hear them!

Thanks for stopping by!
