I Heart the 4th
Long holiday weekends are simply the best.
I spent mine with family in D.C. at a gorgeous retreat center up in the mountains. I might have packed more than a few jackets with the idea of the temperatures being a little cooler, but I was wrong. The heat was blazing, and I had to make do with combat boots and long-sleeve tops for the few days. Big fail on my part.

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! Last Thursday, my family and I headed to the lake and spent the entire afternoon paddle-boating / hiking / canoeing. I'll be sharing those lake photos sometime later on this week (stay tuned!). As for these shots, I wore this look for the fireworks show in downtown Fayetteville. And why yes, I did wear two 4th of July outfits simply because, one is never enough.
