Beauty and Business
With holiday parties just around the corner, now is the time to really be picking out your perfect holiday dress if you haven't already. And whether you’re attending a black tie ball, an office dinner or a family affair, you’re going to need to look fabulous. I do admit I would've chosen the 'little black dress' in my previous years because if Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's could, I reckoned sticking to the basics were always key. But I was wrong.
It doesn't hurt to try new styles and trends. If you haven't noticed by now, everyone is all about the basic 'little black dress' or a basic 'little red dress'. This time around, I'm more lenient for the jewel-toned and the shimmery statement cocktail dresses.

I've been just so busy lately, I didn't bother giving the idea much thought. My fault, I know.
After planning the fashion show a couple of weeks ago, I've realized how much I've missed party planning. Like Blair Waldorf and fashion shows, I have a thing for party planning. Not that I do it too often, but I will never miss out on an opportunity to be creative.
I know how much I'm going to regret not throwing a party this year simply because I had so much time to plan for it. Maybe next year I'll be a little more prepared.
It's hard snagging the perfect holiday dress. Especially come Christmas time.
This 3.1 Phillip Lim sequined silk wrap dress caught my eye in a flash. The shimmer is irresistible and a definite eye-catcher.
I love this Mark & James cocktail dress by Badgley Mischka ($395).
below). I'm not sure if it's the toned color of the dress that's catching my eye, or the design on the elusive dress, but this dress makes such a statement. It's simple and yet classic, but who hasn't heard of less is more?
When it comes to the color gold, yes will always be my answer.
For someone who loves to outshine everyone else in the perfect holiday dress, a gold cocktail dress would be my choice.
Or I would choose this gorgeous Lilly Pulitzer chiffon Jillie Dress. The pattern is so exquisite and I'm sure I've mentioned how much I love bright colors before.
