Best Hats for Fall / Winter 2020

IMG_8441.JPG

I’m the crazy hat lady who has 12+ hats hanging on a hat wall in a NYC apartment.

I’ve been a hat person for as long as I can care to remember, and I have a couple of staple hats I wear year-round. When it comes to purchasing a new hat, there’s three important things I pay attention to:

  1. the fit — I am very particular about hats fitting right on my head. I have a smaller head and I sometimes come across hats that just cover my entire head. They’ll keep sliding down as the day progresses. If hats are sliding down your head or falling off easily, then you either need to size down or find another pair that is the right size.

  2. the quality — if the ribbon is falling off or the quality of the hat looks cheap… it’s a no-go. I don’t need a luxurious, designer hat, I just need a hat that is bold on its own, dressed up or dressed down.

  3. the versatility — since I wear hats year-round, I look for hats that I can wear from the summer to the fall. There are a couple of felt hats (linked at the bottom of the post) that you can rock all year round.

Since I’ve gotten a couple of questions from IG Stories asking where my hats are from, so I wanted to do a round-up sharing *budget-friendly* and great quality hat options you can accessorize for Fall and Winter.
