It's happening.
New York City is gearing up for the holidays.
While commuting to meetings and events all over Manhattan, I've seen the Winter Village at Bryant Park opening up, holiday pop-up shops on the streets, ice skating rinks opening, Christmas music playing around 5th Ave, mini Christmas trees already up on Park Ave...
This past Sunday, on my way to the gym, I spotted workers installing Christmas lights to the trees in Midtown, and the excitement hit me all over again. The holidays, post Halloween, is a magical time and place to be in New York City. The magic truly comes to life, and there's no way to fully comprehend the feeling without immersing yourself into all of it.
I'm headed home next week to spend Thanksgiving with the family in North Carolina.
It's been a couple of months since I've seen my family, so I'm excited to wind down, spend all of my time catching up and breaking out the Thanksgiving Lee family traditions.
What are your Thanksgiving plans?
