Because I've been receiving a lot of random questions on a daily basis on Instagram, I figured it was time for another Q&A round-up.
Thank you everyone for submitting your questions.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to email or DM me on Instagram. 😊
Have a great weekend!
1. Do you live alone?
Yes, I do live alone and have been for two years now.
2. Where in NYC do you live?
I live on the Upper East Side 😊
3. Favorite part of your apartment / least favorite part of your apartment.
Favorite part: the natural lighting and the size.
Least favorite part: I'm on the top floor and my floorboards are creaky, and the walls are thin.
4. Are you shopping for Spring / Summer yet?
Kind of. I usually have my eyes peeled for new arrivals and start thinking ahead of where I plan to be in the warmer months to come to prep for any spring / summer shopping. I've been currently eyeing the new arrivals at & Other Stories. One of my favorite places to shop.
5. What was your major? Is your job title a social media influencer?
My major was Public Relations. I would say my job title is a social media strategist and content creator.
6. What is your go-to cafe or coffee shop?
I actually wrote a blog post on this here. Favorite cafes have to be Cha Cha Matcha or Urban Backyard. I'm a matcha girl, all the way.
7. How was EF Paris?
AMAZING. it was such a surreal experience and definitely too short of a trip. Read more about my experience in this blog post here + here.
8. Where do you want to travel to next?
I want to do a Euro-trip. London (never been), Germany, and back to Paris!
9. Who is your role model?
My mom. She inspires me in so many ways. There have been many, many times where I've had mental breakdowns and I've been able to call her and just listen to her advice. I probably got my discipline and self-control from her. My mom is an incredible woman, and if there's anyone I can talk to about anything, it's her. Love you Mom.
12. If you weren't in fashion, what would you rather do instead?
I would be a nutritionist. I've always been into health and wellness, and to this day, I do a lot of research of what I should and shouldn't put into my body.
13. How do you balance work and play in a busy city like NY?
It's a struggle, but over time, I've been able to manage my time living here, working here, and having a social life. It's all about time management and knowing what your priorities are.
Never ever lose sight of that.
14. Do you carry around flat or comfy shoes in your bag when walking around NYC all day?
I actually don't! If I'm heading to an event, I'll mentally prep for what I need to wear and how much I'll be walking and then plan my looks accordingly. If I really want to wear shoes that aren't as comfy, I'll suck it up and wear the shoes. 😅 because hey, life is too short not to. 💁
15. What do you miss about UNC-Chapel Hill?
Oh boy. What a tough question. I miss a lot of things about UNC. I miss constantly being surrounded by fellow classmates who had just about the same amount, if not more, school spirit as me. I miss having a gym on campus that I could go to whenever I wanted. I miss seeing my friends on a daily basis. I just miss the college environment and all the memories I made.
16. Do you work full-time? (Aside from blogging)
I do now, yes. I feel like this isn't a topic I've really covered in my life for various reasons.
Some of you have been asking me questions here and there about life updates on my current job situation, and I feel like I'll share that when the time is right.
17. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Tricky question, because these past few months, I've been having a hard time coping with where I'm at and where I want to be. My ideas and thoughts tend to change, when it comes to my future and it's been a constant love / hate battle for me. I have so many thoughts in my mind when it comes to my career, and there are many days where I'll just breakdown and find myself dreading where I'm at in life. I have a vision in mind of where I'd like to be blogging-wise, but again, I try to take that pressure off by allowing myself to be okay with where I'm at currently.
18. Do you have a lot of blogger friends in NYC?
I do, actually! And I'm incredibly blessed to have met the ones I did. Madison and I were Instagram friends for almost six years. She's been my partner in crime with events and photos here in NYC and I love that I can be myself around her. Rachel, is someone I met last year at a Brittany Spears fragrance launch party and we instantly clicked. She's so down-to-earth, and I love being able to talk about life beyond our work. Belle, who is an absolute sweetheart, is another one I met through a Rebag party, and she's been an amazing friend to talk to. There are obviously so many more blogger friends that I've made, but these are just a few that I wanted to share.
It's really hard to coordinate meeting with people in New York City, and I try to emphasize that because it's true. We all have busy lives, and life in the fast lane means also being mature enough to understand that you won't be able to see people for weeks to even months. However, I try my best to stay in touch with those who want to be a part of my life.
19. How amazing is it living in NYC?!
So amazing. Seriously. There are certain moments when I'm walking down the streets of NYC, and look up to see the beautiful skyline and skyscrapers and I just can't help but to smile. I'm grateful to live here, and I do still have those pinch me moments that I'm actually still living here.
20. How do you balance being a blogger and having a full-time job?
Again, I haven't brought up this topic just yet on my blog because I've been trying to understand that balance myself. Honestly, it's been trickier than I thought.
But I've been training my mind to focus on what is a priority, and understanding that everything does happen for a reason. This is a period in my life where there are lessons to be learned, situations I need to learn from, and understand that if you put in the work, the results will show. In time.
