5 Things To Buy for Spring

I think the transition period from winter to Spring is to blame for my shopping splurges lately.

I've been eyeing a couple of pieces that I think would be great for the new season. There's a select few that I tend to gravitate towards in the Spring. Whenever I make a purchase with clothing items or accessories, I try to picture various ways I can wear that item. When you think big picture, you really get a bang for your buck.

For today's blog post, I wanted to round up 5 THINGS to buy for Spring -- if you haven't already added these pieces to your wardrobe.

Scroll to the bottom to shop my top picks:

1. Cropped Jacket --
I love this one from & Other Stories. It's such a great fit that looks amazing paired with a denim skirt or trouser pants. I love the oversized baggy sleeve style, and it is a lightweight jacket that you can wear for cool evenings.

2. Denim Skirt --
Denim skirts are always my go-to staple for Spring and Summer.
They're versatile to wear with fun spring, lace tops or even button-downs to keep it casual. Like my leather jacket and denim jacket collection, I like to have different styles. I try to stock up on all types of denim skirts because they can be worn all year round with the right wash and look you're aiming for. For Spring, I'll try to wear more light, distressed washes.

3. Colorful Statement Earrings --
I gravitate towards BaubleBar and Sugarfix by BaubleBar for my earrings fix. They always have fun selections to choose from. I always love a pop of color with my accessory pieces.

4. Dainty Jewelry --
My jewelry choices have definitely changed over the years. I remember I used to wear the brightest and biggest flashy, statement earrings when I was first blogging, but it's obvious my style has changed over the years. I've been more into dainty pieces -- gold, rose gold, and silver -- options as of late.

Astrid & Miyu has really great dainty options that I even picked out to style. I love a good ear cuff and stacked ring combo.

5. Hats --
can't live with 'em... can't live without 'em.

And I say this because I'm always in DUMBO, Brooklyn, which is located by the water... and it is so windy. However, that never stops me from wearing my hats. 😜 For Spring, I rotate off of my straw boater hats and other nude straw hats. I also have a black straw hat very similar to this one that I LOVE here. I also have a collection of floppy straw hats for the beach. But we'll cross that bridge when we get there...
