Red-Y or Not

Maybe Valentine's Day month is to blame, but I've been really into red dresses lately...

This past weekend, I celebrated turning 24.
Not a big game changer, but if anything, I take any chance to celebrate into some serious consideration.

Go big or go home, am I right? 😜
Every year, I like to purposely remind my family that February is my birthday month and because it's also the *shortest* month, I have to celebrate all 28 (or 29) days. LOL.
With that in mind, I went for a red sequin dress this year -- with balloons, a Times Square backdrop, and a weekend filled with the sweetest birthday wishes and good company.
I couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

Side note: I've been nominated for Her Campus' InfluenceHer of the Year Award and it would mean the world if you would click this link here to vote for me.
All you have to do is scroll to the bottom, click my name for InfluenceHer of the Year and submit. 😊
I want to emphasize how grateful I am for all of you. It is because of your support that any of this is possible!! Thank you for giving me the opportunity to continue doing what I love.
It means so much to me.

I had originally wanted to wear this dress without layers because I love the fit of this V-neck dress, but realistically, not going to happen with the frigid NYC temps here, so I decided to wear a balloon-sleeve crop top, the comfiest tights, and finished the look with a belt

P.S. this dress is actually more red than burgundy, for those confused about the image on the website.

A big thank you to Caravan Style Studio for the hair style -- we went for a braid and loose waves.

Wearing: black topdress (the color is actually more of a red than shown in the image) | & Other Stories belt (similar here) | tights | earrings (old, but similar here) | Gucci bag | Celine sunglasses (similar here) | booties (old, but similar here + here) |
