8 NYC Coffee Shops to Visit

Many people assume Starbucks is the go-to place when visiting New York City.

You hear... Oh, there's a Starbucks on every corner.
Hey Siri, where's the nearest Starbucks?

However, what you're missing out on is all the unique and amazing coffee spots located all throughout New York City. I've been to more cafes over the past year or so living here, and wanted to round up a couple of places that you'd want to add to your list the next time you're here in the City, or just want a new location to enjoy a coffee or two with a friend.

What are some of your favorite coffee shops in NYC?
Have any other recommendations? I'd love to hear them!

1. Hutch + Waldo
I stumbled across this hidden gem while looking for dinner around my area one night, and ended up loving the food so much, I went again for brunch. There's so many lattes to choose from.

2. Bluestone Lane
I went to the one in DUMBO, Brooklyn yesterday, and tried their mocha latte with oat milk.
They also have avocado toast...

3. Gregory's Coffee
They always have the best lattes (and oat milk!)

4. Matcha Bar
Located on W 15 and 7th and 8th Ave, and they serve all things matcha.

5. Toby's Estate Coffee
I love their almond milk lattes.

6. Ground Central Coffee Company
I've walked in here once or twice for an espresso. Much needed, and the atmosphere is a cool one to work in.

7. Happy Bones
Located on Broome Street. They have great almond milk lattes.

8. Blue Bottle Coffee
I haven't been here yet, but I hear lots of good reviews on their coffee.
