I have some news.
I haven't been able to share too much about it because 1) I wanted to keep it under wraps until Fashion Week was over, and 2) I still kind of let a couple of things slip on Instagram Stories (oops), and hinted at something exciting / big, and 3) I wanted to get everything situated first before announcing... that I moved.
And I couldn't be any happier.
This move honestly feels like a clean slate. Something I felt like I really needed in this period of my life right now. Now that it's *officially* Fall, this kicks off year TWO living in New York City. I'm slowly and surely getting back to a normal schedule, post-Fashion Week, and I've been trying to pick up the pieces of where I left off with organizing my apartment. There's a couple of little things that still need work -- maybe a shelf in the bathroom? New curtains? I've been eyeing these. And maybe this plant (or this one) by the windows because plants have a way of making me a happier person. Don't ask, in some odd ways, they do.
It really is the little things.
I shared my previous apartment in this blog post here. I wanted my new place to still resemble some of my favorite things: white, pristine, and unique in a way that represented my style and who I am as a person.
One thing I love in particular about my apartment is how much light comes in through the windows in the mornings. Something I look forward to when waking up.
I know some of you requested for an apartment tour, and I'll be sharing bits and pieces over on my Instagram Stories, so stay tuned for those.
Mer-Sea provided me with the best housewarming gifts: candles and anything scented are probably the best gifts you could give me.
Honestly. I'm a sucker for candles, and I even try to have at least one in my apartment at all times. You never know when it could come in handy, or when you're having one of those days where you feel like lighting a candle, burying yourself in blankets, and watching a movie.
I'm loving these scented ones and this diffuser (above), because they each have their own distinct scent. The soy candle smells very crisp, almost like the Fall air, the other smells like Christmas pine trees (perfect for the holiday season), and the diffuser has a cool, refreshing scent mixed with flowers, spicy cloves, warm berries, and a dash of moss and wood.
My desk chair is actually from IKEA, but there's an identical one that's ON SALE here.
I also own two of these shoe racks. They're convenient to move around because they're rolling, holds up to 60 pairs of shoes, and it's under $70!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my apartment!
If you have any blog post suggestions for apartment decor, or other ideas that you'd like me to cover, please don't hesitate to email me or leave a comment below.
Thank you to Mer-Sea for partnering on this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
