7 Things Mentally Strong People Remind Themselves Every Day

A couple of days ago, I got really sick...

I'm the kind of person who doesn't like staying in bed or not doing anything.
I like to stay busy... all the time

The things I do drive me to push myself... and in a way, it's quite motivating

However, these past few days, I was in so much nauseating pain that I had to take a couple of days off work. So while I was trying to recover at home, I realized I was yet still working from my bed, and feeling 'hopeless' for not being able to move around much. During that time, I had a lot of time to think. Something I haven't been able to do that often since I've been busier than ever with my blog, job, and social life.

I came across a couple of lists on Pinterest talking about staying strong, and I wanted to share 7 things mentally strong people remind themselves every day.

We all need reminders from time to time, so here's your reminder that you can handle anything if you put your mind to it.

1. Be the kind of person you want to meet.
For so long, I felt frustrated and confused why there wasn't anyone out there with a heart like mine.
So I stopped searching and decided to be that person. You can't make everyone happy, but you most certainly can make yourself happy.

2. Actions prove who someone is, words just prove who they want to be.
It doesn't matter if they can talk the talk... if they can't walk the walk.
Don't be fooled. Make sure your actions reflect your words.

3. Don't feel guilty for eliminating the toxic people in your life. You don't owe them anything.
Toxic people hold you back.
They don't see the good in you, they don't want the best for you, and nine times out of ten, they're not happy with themselves so they try to ruin your happiness. Don't let them. Never ever ever ever apologize for letting people go that you don't need in your life.

4. Don't resist the changes in your life.
Let things happen... the way they happen. Whether you like it or not, it's reality.
Remember: life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.

5. Do what is best for you... and not what's best for everyone else.
In the long run, if you're doing everything to please everyone else around you, you're never going to be satisfied. Make sure what you're doing... is best for you.

6. Your value doesn't decrease based on someone's inability to see your worth.
They don't 'get it.' They don't support you nor do they care about you.
If they can't see your worth, then frankly... they're not worth your time.

7. Work hard in silence. Let your success be your noise.
And someday... your hard work will show. But for now, keep going and never give up.

Thank you for reading.
Have a great weekend!
