Lidl x Heidi Klum NYFW Recap

Grab your morning coffee (maybe two cups) because today's post is a long one.
I'm recapping my Lidl x Heidi Klum travel event from NYFW.

If you remember this post here, I mentioned I would be traveling with the Lidl team to meet other US and international influencers that have been working hard to share the launch of Heidi Klum's exclusive collection with Lidl. I even had the pleasure of staying at the MADE Hotel during the event. Little did I know that the hotel had just recently opened last week...

I was also very active on Instagram Stories to show you a preview of my room, the view, and the interesting tidbits of what the new hotel had to offer.

Let's get started on the recap! Scroll down for more.

DAY 1

Around 3 PM, a driver came to pick me up from my apartment and drove me to MADE Hotel, where I would be staying for the next two days. I dropped off my things, got settled in, and prepped for the cocktail reception later that evening.
Wearing: Lidl x Heidi Klum's black lace top (on SALE starting September 21!)
Wearing: Lidl x Heidi Klum's black lace dress (on SALE starting September 21!)
Next, I met with the other influencers that were staying at the hotel with Lidl. Our driver took us The Standard for the cocktail reception.
Loved meeting Stefanie and Courtney at the reception. I bonded instantly with these two.
Fun fact: I've been following Alex's blog and Instagram from the beginning of my blogging days. I always feel so inspired by her content. Not only that, but she was the sweetest person ever in person.
After the cocktail reception, Stefanie and I met up with the sweetest ladies (Morgan and Stephanie) and we headed to TAO Downtown for a late night sushi fix. I've been to TAO Downtown numerous times when I lived in the City last summer, but never actually sat down and ate there, so this was a first for me.
After sushi, we headed to the Penthouse at Dream Downtown (PHD), one of my favorite rooftop bars, for post-dinner drinks. Of course photo-ops were in session because this view is unreal.

DAY 2:
The next morning, we headed to Lupulo for an influencer brunch.
I ordered the avocado toast (are you really surprised?) and an almond milk iced latte.
Waiting for our driver to take us to the Lidl x Heidi Klum runway show with Natalie
Sidenote: her style is to die for.
Casually waiting for the show to begin.
When we entered, cameras were flashing everywhere and there was a frenzy of photographers trying to capture Heidi Klum during an interview.
I had one of the best wine experiences at this event.
For those of you who don't know, Lidl is a European grocery store (now in the US too) that carries award-winning wine, and now I understand why. Read more about it here.
Having a photoshoot with Courtney
I loved how they turned the venue into an actual grocery store with promotion to a worldwide premiere of Heidi Klum's exclusive collection with Lidl
I went LIVE on Instagram Stories to share a peek at the runway. Thanks for those that tuned in!
And lastly... a photo op with the one and only, Heidi Klum.
After the runway show, we went back to the hotel to relax.
I took a much-needed nap.

After a few hours, before dinner, the Lidl US team, influencers, and I headed to Ayza Wine and Chocolate Bar for some drinks... and chocolate. I had never even heard of this place until that night, and had never actually paired wine and chocolate together before, so it was interesting to say the least.
Our last event with the global influencers was dinner at La Sirena Ristorante.
The venue looked like a wedding, and there were several moments where I was waiting for the bride and groom to make an appearance... (kidding).

But all jokes aside, the set-up was beautiful.

I want to thank the Lidl team for the most amazing time and stay here in NYC. There were some moments during the months of my partnership where I was still in awe that I was sharing exclusive content from Heidi Klum herself. The hotel, the dinners, the events... all of it was well-coordinated and I couldn't be any more grateful to have been a part of this collaboration.

So again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Lidl for making this such an incredible and surreal experience.

Sidenote: the COLLECTION goes on SALE starting September 21st.
All of the pieces that were on the runway will be available.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all enjoyed this NYFW recap.
Stay tuned because I'm sharing more of my NYFW looks next week!
