Goal Digger: Items You Need To Stay Organized
I love the feeling of a new week.
That's because...
to me, an early Monday morning sets the tone for the rest of the week.
I like to get to work right after I wake up (and drink lemon water on an empty stomach). First, I'll make sure my Monday blog post is up, second, I'll shorten the link and copy it to all socials, third, I'll schedule out the posts throughout the day, fourth, I'll dive right into emails, and fifth, I'll start creating content for the rest of the week on my calendar. Busy schedule? You can say that.
However, without organization, schedules, and goals, my life would be a disaster.
In order to keep my sanity, I jot everything down.
Today, I've teamed up with Dormify to share a few items that you need to stay organized.
Since FDOC (First Day Of Classes) starts on Wednesday, I thought it would be a great idea to show you all how I'm prepping for the final semester of my college career.

1. Calendar
I like to keep a wall calendar because it allows me to plan ahead for things happening a few months from now: i.e.... graduation in MAY.
When I get the syllabi from all my professors, I jot down all the important dates.
Midterms, projects, papers due, finals. And then I include holidays and festivities. Birthdays. Galentine's Day date night. Trip to NYC. Spring Break cruise, etc. Basically, having every important date keeps me informed of what to expect. Because trust me, this semester always flies by so fast.
This calendar is just the right fit. It's not too big, not too small.
I love the creativity of each month's poster, and the stickers are always fun to add.
2. Stapler
If I had a dollar for every time I had to staple papers last semester, I'd be rich.
Even though something as simple as a stapler doesn't really cross our minds, staying organized also means organized papers. And if you're going to have a stapler, why not go Kate Spade?
I have to admit: I like to store my necklaces and rings in organized drawers and containers somewhere in my closet. However, sometimes I felt like displaying a few of my favorite jewelry pieces so A) I wouldn't forget what I had and B) so I could easily grab my latest pieces on-the-go. I love that this jewelry stand even has holes so I can stick in my favorite statement earrings as well as hang a few of my necklaces.
4. Candle
Never ever underestimate the power of... a candle.
Seriously.
Spruce up your bedroom with a scent that makes your environment an appealing place to work in. I believe that having a calm, peaceful, and pleasant environment is a key to getting work done. I love wrapping up all my emails and glancing over at my candle to see that it's still burning. It's the little things.
P.S. Two words: it's marble.
5. Inspiration
In order to be a goal digger, you need the right inspiration.
One of my main goals for 2017 is to travel more. For someone who has dreamed of working at or with Kate Spade, I fell in love with this book the minute I laid eyes on it. From travel bucket lists in Santorini and Tokyo, to travel photos in Paris and New York City, this book not only makes the perfect travel companion / inspiration, but also makes a great coffee book table.
What are some of your goals and aspirations for 2017?
