Under Pressure

I'm not so much of a different person under pressure.
In fact, as someone who is constantly busy, I'm used to the pressure. The pressure keeps me sane and organized. Odd, huh. Well, we all handle stress differently. Some stress eat, some stress bake (ahem, my housemates - as I'm typing this, I spy a pan of brownies and chocolate cookies on the kitchen counter), and me? Well, I stress... exercise. Which actually sounds more funny typed out. AKA, I workout. However, if you follow me on Snapchat (bygracelee), I posted over the weekend that I injured my knee while running. I found it rather odd because I run regularly and this has never happened to me before. The doctor said I had patellofemoral arthralgia syndrome, commonly known as the 'runner's knee.' My right knee has been in major pain for the past few days and here I am thinking... Wow, great timing right? Knee, you could have chose ANY other time to get injured but finals week, really??
I've been ~~hard~~ harder on myself for it the past few days. Not for being injured because life happens, but more so because I can't run or workout to blow off stress. And it just doesn't feel right. And not being able to do anything in this situation got me thinking. We're not in control of our lives and we constantly forget that. So in light of it all, I feel like I needed this reminder that God knows what he's doing. I just need to remember that He's going to be with me every step of the way. And that's exactly what I needed to hear as I go into my first final on Friday.
