Dealing with Failures

I heard a very inspiring sermon on re-visiting the place of failures during church service yesterday, and it had me thinking the entire time of all the struggles I've encountered this past year. As we approach 2016, I've been constantly thinking about my past accomplishments, but there's one aspect that I've been overlooking: my failures.

It's easy to let your failures define you as a person.
Sometimes you feel like that's all you'll ever be, but that's only because that's all you're allowing yourself to believe. You're so much more than that. Dealing with your failures is realizing that you're choosing to overcome your mistakes and become a stronger person. It may have taken me quite some time to realize it, but remember that the struggle is always a part of the story. I believe that my struggles were placed in my life to teach me to be humble and trust God's timing.

If you remember this post, I mentioned how I believe we meet the wrong people in order to find the right ones. Maybe we have to allow ourselves to fail in order to succeed. To see what it is what we've been missing all along.

Just a little perspective from me to you on the last Monday of this year.
Thanks for reading!

P.S. I'm headed off on a little vacation getaway with my family for the next few days, so be sure to follow along on Instagram and snapchat (bygracelee)!
