Peach Please

The minute these navy jogger pants arrived in the mail, I literally put them on and wore them out to a quick trip to the Southpoint Mall in Durham. I used to restrict myself only to skinny jeans and pants that were fitting and flattering for my body type because I was too hesitant of how anything else would look on me - but more importantly, what people would think of me. Which brings me to what I wanted to really talk about today.

You can't please everyone.
I used to sometimes still am, a people pleaser. I don't like to disappoint people and I certainly try my best to make others happy. Sometimes I see it as a flaw, or a weakness, or maybe a side effect of my perfectionism (is that a word??). But whatever the reason, I wanted to rant a little about what I think of people who just cannot be pleased. No matter what you do.

What does it matter what people think anyway? I don't want to sound hypocritical by any means, because even I need this reminder sometimes. Your opinion is the only thing that matters. People are going to hate on you, say mean things about you, say mean things to you... who. even. cares. Those people are the ones you should feel sorry for because they're the ones missing out on how great of a person you are.

Over the years as a blogger, I've been stepping out of my comfort zone to tackle different styles that I wanted to try. For myself. The Grace five years ago would have probably refused to try on a pair of jogger pants, but I decided to embrace it. And I'm glad I did.
I meaaan, I feel like I'm wearing pajamas bottoms out in public. Talk about comfort and trendy, at the same time. B O O M .
*insert fist emoji*

I know I ranted a little too much, but I hope you guys enjoyed reading my thoughts about this. What are some inspirational things you do to help you get your mind off of these people? I'd love to hear them!
