There are two things that I look for in a pair of denim.
1. the perfect fit - and I mean, flattering for my petite shape. For instance, I like LOFT denim because not only can I rely on their sizing no matter the pants, but they have also have a section for petites and I always opt for the short jeans.
2. distressed x rips - I'm a sucker for ripped denim. I don't like overly ripped jeans that look like you need a new pair of jeans (badly), but a couple rips here and there are all I need.
P.S. my sleeping schedule is so off. How is everyone adjusting to the "Spring forward" time?? HA. #iwantthathourback
