Holiday photo-shoots are my specialty.
I tend to get very creative, especially this time of year. Whether it's planning out a holiday outfit post or cooking up a holiday treat in the kitchen, I'm a sucker for the holiday festivities. When Hanes Hosiery asked me to style their tights in honor of their Style Bestie Sweepstakes, I knew right then that I wanted to do a holiday shoot with my best friend Casey Fallin, who by the way... can make a killer apple pie sangria (recipe here).
I styled this shoot with a Gossip Girl-esque look in mind. Season 1, anyone?
I have to admit: I've been planning the outfits for this shoot all week, and I knew from the start that I wanted sequins. Nothing says holidays quite like sequins and a picturesque festive setting (thanks Southpoint!), after all. I opted for a sequin peplum layered over a plaid button-down, and practically swooned over how well the black and gold sequins complemented each other.

Random fact: It was 38 degrees and my girlfriends and I had to take mini breaks running inside the mall to thaw before stepping back out again to take these photos. A coffee date and mandatory girl's night happened right after, that's for sure! True friends are those who are willing to brave the freezing weather to take a photo-shoot with you. I couldn't be more grateful to have these two in my life.
