This entire week, it seems that I have only taken note of three colors: red, white and blue. 

I must confess, I am the kind of person who takes full advantage of the holidays. And the 4th of July is hardly any different.

1. Dressing up in red, white, or blue (or in my case-- all of the above)

2. BBQ grilling

3. Movie nights (my mother insists on tackling four movies before the end of this week).. HELP

4. Watching the fireworks and lighting sparklers

...are just a few of the fun activities that I have the pleasure in participating in.

Every year (last year), we drive up to Washington D.C. to visit family and watch the fireworks at the Capitol. But this year, we decided to spend the 4th in Fayetteville and watch the fireworks downtown. And then, it gets better. A beach vacation in Myrtle Beach for the rest of the week to finish up the holiday plans.
