First Christmas In A New Home

The first holiday season in a new home is always a special moment.

I’ve spent the past three years without a Christmas tree here in New York City, and this year… I decided it was time I change that. I moved into my new home towards the end of summer and I knew instantly that I wanted to start new traditions in this new space moving forward.

I found this tree on sale during the Cyber Monday shopping deals and decided that I wanted the decorations to be a combination of mixed metals — gold and silver and metallics. Since my New York City apartment isn’t spacious, I opted for a five-foot artificial prelit Christmas tree that even came with changing white and color LED lights.

There’s something so appealing about a lit Christmas tree that just makes living in your apartment home extra special. It’s the perfect touch I needed to start off the last month of this year. Scroll down for the Christmas tree and decoration links!

Is your Christmas tree up yet? Would love to know what your favorite holiday traditions are!
